Formal Second Action Plan Submission 11/06/26

Formal Submission to the consultation on the Second Action Plan

(National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children 2022–2032)

11th June 2026 - Stand Again

Stand Again submitted a contribution to the Second Action Plan consultation in June 2026

Stand Again conducted a gap analysis of 336 DFV service providers across 19 service lines and all Australian states and territories. The analysis maps where provision is strong, where gaps remain, and what addressing those gaps could deliver - for female and male victim-survivors, and for the broader system.

What we found:

  • 237 service providers dedicated to female victims. 5 serve male victims. 22 serve pets.
  • There are more crisis accommodation services for pets than for men.
  • Zero dedicated legal support, financial support, or suicide prevention services exist for male victim-survivors.
  • The estimated cost of these gaps: $7 billion per year.
